TTP is a Ttime Triggered Protocol. This protocolwas first discovered in Vienna University of Technology . It has two channels, it can work either through one channel or using both channels. However there is a stated maximum bandwidth that is allowed.
TTP may be defined as a technology platform that has not just an open but also a modular control system. It primarily aims at designing of the systems which are reusable, upgradeable and easy-to-integrate . This protocol is capable of influencing the design of not just different latest electronics but it can also influence the design of vehicles. It has other industrial applications as well.
The protocol has a superior feature of being tolerant to faults. This is because it is capable of generating an independent message that is tolerant to fault. Additionally, it is capable of implementing a strategy called Time –Division Multiple Access strategy. This is especially implemented on the channels of communication which are related.
Another additional feature provided by this protocol is that it gives information about the consistency status of a node about the transmission of data. In case the consistency is lost, the message is immediately sent to the application.
